Health Insurance

Childcare (Applications Begin 7/23/08)

The AmeriCorps CARE child care voucher program is made availble to BTR AmeriCorps members. To learn if you are eligible read this handout. If you qualify, both you and your child care provider must fill out these application materials here. All materials must be sent to Felicia Estrada for processing.

 

my.AmeriCorps & Loan Forebearance & Segal AmeriCorps Education Award

(Registration Begins on 7/23/08)

 

All residents should create an official AmeriCorps Member/Alumni Account on my.americorps.gov . Create an official AmeriCorps Member/Alum Account to request loan forbearance or use your AmeriCorps education award.

 

You can use your Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to pay education costs
at qualified institutions of higher education, for educational
training, or to repay qualified student loans. The award is $4,725 for
a year of full-time service - Members only receive this "voucher" after they successfully complete the BTR requirements of AmeriCorps service (see the handbook). The Segal AmeriCorps Education Award can be used in-full and in-part for up to seven
years after your term of service has ended. It is also taxable in the year you use it. To learn more about the details of the award go to the official website.
